Mumbai, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Sonali Bendre is back as the host of the second season of “Pati Patni Aur Panga.” She previously co-hosted the first season with comedian Munawar Faruqui, and the experience was both enjoyable and memorable. In a recent interview, Bendre expressed how Faruqui’s humor often captivates her, making her forget that she is supposed to be hosting the show.
Reflecting on her time working with Faruqui, Bendre noted, “During the first season of ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga,’ I was hosting alongside Munawar for the first time. He is a wonderful person and a talented stand-up comedian. I sometimes lose track of my hosting duties because I enjoy listening to his jokes so much, which makes me laugh. I’ve learned a lot from him, and I feel more prepared for this second season.”
Bendre explained that in the first season, she was focused on understanding the show’s dynamics and hosting style. Now, she feels more at ease and is enjoying the second season even more. “In the first season, I was trying to find my footing, but this time, I’m having a lot more fun,” she added.
Discussing the concept of “Pati Patni Aur Panga,” Bendre described it as an original Indian show. “This is India’s own show, and its concept is rooted here. I believe ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga’ celebrates weddings. Indian weddings are quite different from those around the world. They encompass not just love but a variety of emotions, fun, and memorable moments. The show highlights these aspects,” she said.
She elaborated on the drama, love, arguments, celebrations, food, dance, and music that characterize Indian weddings. “In these weddings, there’s often playful teasing between husbands and wives. Sometimes, girls tease boys, and sometimes boys pull the girls’ legs. These little interactions add joy and intimacy to relationships. I believe the show captures all these emotions and dynamics,” she noted.
Bendre also shared her thoughts on the audience’s response to the first season. “When we were working on the first season, I wasn’t sure how the audience would react. However, the love we received from viewers encouraged us to bring out a second season. I hope this time we all enjoy it even more, and the audience loves this season even better than the last,” she said.
The second season of “Pati Patni Aur Panga” features couples like Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar, Arjun Bijlani and Neha Swami Bijlani, Shabbir Ahluwalia and Kanchi Kaul, Deepika Singh and Rohit Raj Goyal, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya, Manoj Tiwari and Surabhi Tiwari, along with Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi. The show premiered on October 10 on JioCinema.
