Hyderabad, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : Hyderabad’s Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended an invitation to Singaporean companies on Wednesday, encouraging them to invest in Telangana. He assured them of the state government’s full support for their initiatives.
During a meeting with a delegation led by Augustine Lee, Permanent Secretary of Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, Reddy learned of the representatives’ interest in establishing a semiconductor industry in Telangana. He welcomed their plans for setting up manufacturing units in the state, emphasizing the government’s commitment to facilitating their investments.
The Chief Minister also shared details about various development projects undertaken by the state government and sought financial collaboration from Singapore for these initiatives. He invited the delegation to participate in the upcoming Telangana Global Summit, scheduled for December this year, which will take place at the India Future City event.
In the meeting, Reddy highlighted key features of the Musi River rejuvenation project and the development of India Future City. He discussed ongoing work in the area from the confluence of the Musi and Eisa rivers to Gandhi Sagar, along with the state’s concept of a “night economy.”
Reddy noted that India Future City is being developed as a net-zero city, contributing to Hyderabad’s vision of becoming a global knowledge hub. He also mentioned that the Telangana government has signed agreements with prestigious institutions like Harvard University, Oxford University, MIT, and the London School of Business to establish offshore campuses in Hyderabad.
The meeting included state government advisor K. Ramakrishna Rao, Senior Director for South Asia Dr. Francis Chong, Consul General William Cheek, and other representatives from Singapore.
