Mumbai, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : Urvashi Rautela has officially entered the music industry with her new EDM track, “Heart Controller,” where she takes on the roles of both lead vocalist and songwriter. The actress, known for her work in Bollywood, expressed her long-standing fascination with electronic dance music and her desire to explore this genre beyond her on-screen persona.
In discussing her musical journey, Urvashi shared that the track beautifully intertwines her musical expression with elements of Indian culture and tradition. “I feel immense pride in being the first Bollywood EDM singer to be presented as the lead vocalist for a full-length EDM track. This is a first for any Bollywood actress and a historic moment in the industry,” she stated.
Urvashi emphasized that her attraction to EDM goes beyond mere image enhancement. She aimed to embrace this genre as a vocalist and writer for “Heart Controller,” which has now been released. “This track is for everyone who enjoys this genre, especially for those who have never heard an Indian name resonate alone in an entire electronic track,” she noted.
She elaborated, “This record is not just a song. The lyrics reflect themes from the Mahabharata, lineage, dignity, Indian culture, and my own name. The name ‘Rautela’ is intentionally included; pronounce it slowly and correctly. ‘Urvashi’ is the title. The meaning I intended with this song is that ‘Ur’ means heart and ‘Vashi’ means controller. Therefore, ‘Heart Controller.’ I am not speaking about another woman; I am simply singing this name.”
Feedback from listeners has been overwhelmingly positive. “That’s all that matters to me. I am not lending my voice to someone else’s song. I am presenting it to the world, and beyond, to the entire universe. ‘Heart Controller’ is no longer just mine; it belongs to you as well,” she proclaimed.
Collaborating with top producers from Hollywood, Aslan and Timor Janna, has brought her great joy and satisfaction in creating this record.
Urvashi Rautela made her Bollywood debut alongside Sunny Deol in “Singh Saab the Great.” She has since appeared in films such as “Sanam Re,” “Great Grand Masti,” and “Hate Story 4,” and made a special appearance in Hrithik Roshan’s “Kaabil.”
