Varun Dhawans New Film Promises a Fresh Take on Classic Comedy

Mumbai, April 14: The first look of Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde’s upcoming film, “Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai,” has been unveiled.

The initial glimpse reveals a storyline that seems to present an old gift wrapped in new packaging. The chemistry among Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde is evident, but much of the film’s suspense has already been revealed in this first look.

In “Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai,” Varun Dhawan portrays a character living a double life with two wives: Mrunal Thakur as the first and Pooja Hegde as the second. The look evokes memories of Govinda’s films, particularly “Sandwich” and “Sajan Chale Sasural.” It appears that audiences can expect a mix of Salman Khan’s song title and the script style of Govinda’s classics.

Fans will recall Govinda’s “Sandwich,” where Mahima Chaudhary and Raveena Tandon give birth to twins named Tony and Tuk Tuk, who look identical since both share the same father, Govinda. The first look of “Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai” features two AI-generated children who first mention their mother’s name and then their father’s, leading to the humorous question of whether they have the same dad.

It is clear that Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film draws inspiration from “Sandwich” and “Sajan Chale Sasural.” The latter was directed by Varun’s father, David Dhawan, who also helms this new project. It is safe to say that David Dhawan’s films are known for their comedic flair, often leaving audiences in stitches. Fans hope that Varun Dhawan’s film will achieve the same success at the box office as Govinda’s beloved classics.
