Kangana Ranaut Hails Womens Reservation Bill as a New Era for Women

New Delhi, April 14: The Nari Shakti Vandan Act has garnered significant support from various actresses in the entertainment industry, who have expressed their enthusiasm for this landmark bill. It is seen as a major step towards increasing women’s political participation.

Actress Kangana Ranaut, in an exclusive interview, described the bill as “historic” and praised the Prime Minister for his efforts. She stated, “This law marks the beginning of a new era for women. It will boost women’s confidence and provide them equal opportunities in politics and power. Women will occupy prominent positions. We are fortunate to be part of this history.”

In response to criticism from the opposition, Kangana emphasized that the progress made is largely due to PM Modi’s leadership. She remarked, “The opposition has always tried to obstruct this bill. Therefore, it is not surprising that they will attempt to interfere.”

Actress Ameesha Patel also voiced her strong support for the bill. She noted that women are better equipped to understand the real issues faced by the common people and family-related challenges. “Listening to women’s voices is crucial for the country’s progress. Whenever women advance in any field and receive more support, it brings me immense joy. Whether in jobs or parliament, it feels good when their voices are heard and they are given opportunities. There should be 33% reservation. Supporting women is essential, and I fully endorse this,” she stated.

Debasmita, the winner of Femina Miss India Haryana, described the bill as a significant step towards enhancing women’s participation and making parliament more inclusive. She said, “Our scriptures recognize women as an integral part of society. This reservation bill introduced by the government is a vital step. It will not only promote women’s participation but also make parliament more inclusive. We are a diverse nation, and it is important to give equal weight to everyone’s opinions.”

She emphasized inclusivity during a three-day discussion, stating, “Whether they are tribal women or those from non-tribal backgrounds, women from different geographical areas should be represented. This is a beautiful step towards the development of our country.”
