
Mumbai, April 15: In a significant development regarding the tragic deaths of two MBA students due to drug overdose at a concert, Mumbai police have arrested a college student. This individual is accused of supplying MDMA pills to the deceased students.
According to the police from Vanrai, the arrested student sold the drugs at a rate of ₹1,600 per pill. Reports indicate that both students consumed a total of four pills, leading to their deteriorating health and eventual deaths.
Additionally, another suspect has been apprehended in Kalyan. Authorities state that this individual supplied 6 to 7 MDMA pills to the college student involved in the case.
The police believe that the remaining pills may have been distributed among other individuals in the group or used by the arrested student himself. Investigations are ongoing in this regard.
Authorities have also expressed concerns that more individuals may be involved in this drug supply network. To address this, 5 to 6 teams have been formed to conduct a thorough investigation and identify other suspects.
Currently, the police are deeply engaged in unraveling the entire case and are working to dismantle the drug supply network.
It is noteworthy that the incident occurred during a music concert in Goregaon East, where the two MBA students reportedly suffered from a drug overdose. This tragic event took place on April 11 during a music event attended by approximately 15 to 16 students from a prestigious college in Mumbai.
Reports suggest that one of the deceased students consumed an ecstasy pill while en route to the venue and took another during the concert. Medical professionals have confirmed the overdose.
The second student’s death is also linked to drug use. Officials have stated that both students had ingested drugs. Police are now investigating the entire network to identify the drug supply chain and any additional individuals involved.
