Patna, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, launched a scathing attack on JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha during a media briefing in Patna on Tuesday. Yadav asserted that the JD(U) will only operate according to the whims of the BJP, accusing Jha of leading the party to ruin.
Commenting on the JD(U)’s stance regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), Yadav expressed his disdain, stating, “Sanjay Jha has destroyed JD(U). Whatever the BJP desires will happen in JD(U). We have voiced our opposition to the UCC and will continue to do so.”
He further criticized the Bihar government, highlighting the state’s rampant issues with corruption, crime, unemployment, and poverty. “The so-called double-engine government has turned into a trouble engine for Bihar,” he remarked, noting the lack of assistance for flood-affected individuals from the central government. Yadav described the financial situation in Bihar as dire.
Yadav maintained that the current administration is not focused on resolving problems but rather on creating new ones. “They have no concern for the people of Bihar; their only goal is to fill their own coffers while depleting the state’s resources,” he said. He emphasized that Bihar is suffering from high inflation, poor employment prospects, and inadequate healthcare services, lamenting the deteriorating state of government hospitals.
He questioned the effectiveness of the numerous MPs from Bihar, asking why the state has not seen any tangible support despite their presence in both state and central governments. “Bihar is treated unfairly, with no vision, purpose, or roadmap from the government,” he added.
Regarding the recent visit by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to Bihar, Yadav questioned the minister’s intentions. “Is he bringing something substantial, or just here for a photo opportunity? Why hasn’t there been any announcement of a relief package? Why isn’t Bihar declared a national disaster?” he asked, expressing frustration over the perceived neglect of Bihar amidst ongoing crises.
