Central Government Stands with Bihar Flood Victims; Minister to Conduct Review on September 16

New Delhi, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is set to visit Bihar on September 16 for a comprehensive assessment of the recent floods affecting the region. His itinerary includes an extensive aerial survey of the impacted areas, direct interaction with affected farmers and residents, and a high-level meeting with senior officials, including Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, to review relief and rescue operations.

Accompanying Chouhan will be a team of senior officials from the Union Ministries of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development. The central government, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, has expressed its unwavering support for the farmers and citizens of Bihar during this crisis.

Chouhan’s visit will commence with his arrival in Patna at 10:30 AM, followed by an aerial survey of the flood-affected regions of Dighwara and Maner. At 11 AM, he is scheduled to land at the Hajipur police line helipad, from where he will travel by road to the villages of Terasiya and Saraipur. There, he will inspect the damage to crops firsthand and listen to the concerns of local farmers.

After assessing the flood-affected areas, Chouhan will proceed to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Patna at 12:15 PM for a crucial review meeting on disaster management, relief efforts, and assistance for farmers, alongside Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and senior officials.

Following this, he will depart Patna around 1:30 PM and arrive in Nawabganj, Munger, by approximately 2:15 PM. There, he will meet flood victims at a relief camp and evaluate the ongoing relief operations. Later, he will inspect the Kozi Karaiya dam in Naugachia, traveling through Bhagalpur. In the evening, Chouhan will visit a relief camp at Bhagalpur Polytechnic College to check on the well-being of affected families. After spending the night at the Bhagalpur state guesthouse, he will continue to meet with flood-affected individuals the following morning before returning to Patna.

Chouhan’s sensitive and prompt visit on September 16 underscores the central government’s commitment to providing necessary assistance and swift relief to flood-affected families and farmers in Bihar under Prime Minister Modi’s guidance.
