Preparations Underway for Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026 in Churachandpur, Manipur

Churachandpur, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : In Churachandpur, Manipur, preparations are in full swing for the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026’, set to run from September 17 to October 17. A meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall to discuss the initiative.

The meeting, led by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar (IAS), reviewed the planned activities for the month-long campaign. Additional Deputy Commissioner Lalrobul Phimate presented the district action plan, outlining the programs, timelines, and responsibilities of various departments.

This nationwide initiative commemorates Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service and governance. The campaign focuses on three main pillars: service, good governance, and the welfare of the most marginalized members of society. Its goals include increasing outreach to citizens, ensuring public participation, delivering welfare benefits to eligible individuals, and promoting community service.

The campaign kicks off on September 17 with the ‘Diya of Blessings’ program. This will involve lighting lamps at homes and public places, particularly around Amrit Sarovar sites, housing colonies, and Jan Aushadhi centers.

From September 18 to 30, under the ‘India of Dreams (Art Service)’ initiative, schools and colleges will host painting, essay, and speech competitions on the theme ‘My Vision for a Developed Manipur’. The ‘Angan Ka Utsav’ will include visits to Anganwadi centers, nutrition awareness activities, and recognition of frontline workers.

Additionally, the campaign will feature ‘Kahani Badlav Ki’, which will document success stories related to government schemes and development initiatives through short films, photographs, and articles.

Other planned activities include cleanliness drives, tree planting, voluntary blood donation camps, beneficiary registration and verification, and assistance with documentation and applications for various government welfare schemes.

The action plan also includes the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’, which will engage youth in foot, bicycle, and motorcycle rallies from September 24 to 30. Furthermore, the ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan’ will establish block-level service camps from September 24 to October 7, where beneficiaries can be verified and receive benefits from 26 schemes simultaneously.

From October 1 to 7, the ‘Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ will focus on reaching out to the community at the district and assembly levels, highlighting completed development projects and future priorities. This month-long initiative will conclude with the ‘Jan Sevak Mahakumbh’ on October 17.

Representatives from the district’s assembly constituencies, local leaders, district-level officials from various departments, and representatives from NGOs and civil society organizations participated in the meeting.
