Jagan Criticizes Naidu Over Andhra Polices FBI Claims

Amaravati, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the president of the YSR Congress Party, has taken aim at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for a recent incident involving the state police. On September 16, 2026, Reddy expressed his concerns after the police presented themselves as akin to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States.

In a post on the social media platform X, Reddy remarked, “Under Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, ‘Red Book Governance’ has gone global. Now, the Andhra Pradesh police are presenting themselves as the FBI. This is a real threat to democracy through false identities.”

Reddy further questioned, “Mr. Naidu, is this policing, or is it a state-sponsored deception to harass for political gain? It is embarrassing for your police force to claim to be the FBI while demanding the removal of a post on X, tarnishing the reputation of our state and country.”

He pointed out that X confirmed the request to remove the post came from the official email of the Andhra Pradesh police, not the FBI. Reddy demanded answers about who ordered this request and why the FBI’s name was misused. He suggested that this could be an intentional effort to mislead X and suppress dissenting voices against the government.

“The police uniform is meant to uphold the law, not to enforce your political censorship,” Reddy stated. He criticized the involvement of a foreign investigative agency in a politically motivated operation, arguing it has damaged the credibility of Andhra’s police force. Instead of wasting energy on silencing critics, he urged the government to focus on fulfilling promises, aiding farmers during droughts, creating real jobs, and addressing the issues that truly matter to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Reddy concluded by emphasizing that social media has made it impossible to hide behind manufactured stories. If the government is confident in its performance, it should respond to criticism with transparency and good work rather than resorting to censorship and oppression.
