Pune, June 13: The police have intensified their investigation into the suicide of Amit Abhay Brahme, a 48-year-old employee of TCS. Following the discovery of a detailed suicide note, cases have been filed against three individuals. Authorities state that the investigation is still in its early stages, with a thorough examination of all aspects underway.
According to ACP Sudhakar Yadav, Amit Brahme took his own life on June 2. A comprehensive suicide note was found at the scene, in which he mentioned the people and circumstances he held responsible for his actions.
In the note, Amit made serious allegations against two female colleagues, Archana and Shweta, claiming they regularly humiliated him and threatened to damage his project ratings. He asserted that he faced mental harassment at the workplace.
The note also highlighted that during his father’s severe illness and his wife’s battle with cancer, he faced significant difficulties in taking leave. He alleged that he endured mental pressure and harassment during this challenging time.
Amit also referenced a friend, Vinod Palicha, in his suicide note. He claimed that Vinod sent allegedly false and misleading emails to TCS management, harming his reputation. Additionally, he accused Vinod of attempting to file false complaints with the police against him.
ACP Sudhakar Yadav confirmed that based on the allegations in the suicide note, cases have been registered against Archana, Shweta, and Vinod Palicha under sections 108 and 35 of the Indian Penal Code at the Bhosari police station. The FIR was filed on June 9.
Amit is survived by his wife, who is battling cancer, and their son. The police have assured that a fair investigation is being conducted, and further legal actions will be taken based on the facts.
