Sudhir Mungantiwar Criticizes Harshvardhan Sapkals Remarks on PM Modi

Mumbai, May 26: Maharashtra Congress President Harshvardhan Sapkal’s disrespectful comments about Prime Minister Modi have drawn sharp criticism from BJP legislator Sudhir Mungantiwar. He stated, “The leaders of Congress reflect the same values as their workers. Their language mirrors their upbringing.”

Mungantiwar emphasized that if any leader finds fault with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies or governance, it should be addressed democratically. However, the language used by Congress leaders is entirely inappropriate. He remarked that using derogatory terms for the Prime Minister is not just an insult to one individual but to the 1.4 billion citizens who democratically elected him.

He pointed out that Congress is continuously losing political ground. Once, Congress had a strong government in West Bengal, but now its presence is barely noticeable. The party’s position has also weakened in several states, including Bihar. According to him, after being distanced from power, Congress leaders perceive darkness all around, which is why they resort to such statements.

Mungantiwar argued that Congress believes it can gain public support through harsh and vulgar language, but this is a misconception. He sarcastically compared it to “Mungeri Lal’s beautiful dreams.” He also referenced statements from Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, who suggested that the central government might fall. Mungantiwar stated that opposition leaders are merely dreaming while the public continues to show trust in the BJP.

He further noted that the framers of the Constitution likely did not anticipate that elected leaders would make such vulgar comments against a government chosen by the people. According to him, the opposition should respect the public mandate.

Additionally, Mungantiwar praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 12-year tenure, claiming that the country has reached new heights of development during this period. He asserted that the national budget and economic strength have significantly increased compared to the past. There has been substantial work on infrastructure, new roads have been built, and numerous schemes for the poor have been launched.
