
Greater Noida, June 15: A significant milestone in regional air connectivity was achieved on Monday with the successful launch of the first direct flight between Lucknow and Noida. Departing from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, this historic flight directly connects two major cities in Uttar Pradesh, promising substantial benefits for business, industry, education, and the corporate sector.
To celebrate the launch of this new service, a ceremonial lighting of lamps and cake-cutting event was held at the Lucknow airport. Senior officials from the airline and airport management, along with staff, participated in the festivities. The airport was beautifully decorated, and passengers received a warm welcome. The inaugural flight, numbered 6E 2278, carried a total of 182 passengers from Lucknow to Noida.
Notably, the renowned actress Gul Panag was among the passengers on this historic flight. Excitement was palpable among travelers regarding this new service. Additionally, approximately 80 employees from a private group also took advantage of this flight service. The high participation of passengers reflects a positive response to the new route.
It is anticipated that this route will prove extremely beneficial for business and corporate travelers in the future. Under special operations, additional flights were also conducted on June 15. Flight number 6E 5212 arrived in Lucknow from Noida, while flight 6E 5219 departed from Lucknow to Noida.
Airport officials stated that this new service will strengthen regional connectivity within Uttar Pradesh and significantly reduce travel time. Regular flight services on this route are set to commence on July 1, 2026. With the operation of Noida International Airport, this new air service is regarded as a crucial step towards the development and modernization of transportation in the state.
