Siddaramaiahs Flight Diverted to Jaipur Due to Bad Weather

New Delhi, May 29: Siddaramaiah, who recently resigned as Chief Minister of Karnataka, had his charter flight diverted to Jaipur Airport due to adverse weather conditions. He was en route from Bengaluru to Delhi when the flight had to land in Jaipur because of poor weather in the capital.

Reports indicate that Siddaramaiah was accompanied by K.J. George, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala, and a total of nine passengers. The aircraft is currently stationed at Jaipur Airport and will depart for Delhi once the weather improves.

During this time, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot met with Siddaramaiah at Jaipur Airport. Their brief conversation has sparked discussions in political circles.

Notably, a significant shift occurred in Karnataka politics on Thursday when Siddaramaiah resigned from his position. His resignation has cleared the way for D.K. Shivakumar to likely become the next Chief Minister, amid ongoing leadership struggles within the Karnataka Congress.

Siddaramaiah had previously arrived at the Raj Bhavan from his official residence as per a scheduled program. However, since the Governor was out of the state, he submitted his resignation to the officials at the Raj Bhavan.

After resigning, Siddaramaiah addressed a press conference, stating, “I have submitted my resignation to the Governor’s office. The Governor is not here; he will return tonight, so I have submitted my resignation to his office.”

This unexpected political development in Karnataka, coupled with the diversion of Siddaramaiah’s flight to Jaipur, has intensified political discussions surrounding the event.
