The RAJASTHAN State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) is preparing to launch deluxe bus services from the Udaipur depot to rural routes, aiming to enhance connectivity in these areas.
In the first phase, two deluxe buses will operate on the Udaipur-Lasadia (via Kurabad) and Udaipur-Fatehnagar (via Vallabhnagar) routes. The number of buses may be adjusted based on demand for the routes. Last year, there was an intention to run buses on 22 routes in Udaipur, but no applications were received in the tender process.
RSRTC has invited tenders for vehicles with a seating capacity of 17 or more. The bus operations will follow a revenue-sharing model. Technical bids will be opened at 11 am on February 11 at the Udaipur headquarters.
Areas to Benefit
Udaipur-Lasadia (via Kurabad): This route will serve areas including Zinc Smelter, Bichhri, Sakroda, Chauhano ka Guda, Mithanim, Padampura, Shishavi, Todi, Kurabad, Singhad, Gudli, Berdi, Sagadi, Bambora, Phila, Nal ka Guda, Panund, Arania, and Lasadia.
Udaipur-Fatehnagar (via Vallabhnagar): This route will connect Dabok Airport, Karanpur, Vallabhnagar, Dhikwasa, Rundeda, Intali, Badgaon, and Fatehnagar.
The initiative is expected to improve rural transport options, providing better accessibility and convenience for residents along these routes.
