ACB Addresses Fire Services Recruitment Paper Leak Rumors

Jammu, April 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has refuted rumors circulating on social media regarding an alleged paper leak in the Fire Services recruitment examination. In a statement released via their official ‘X’ handle, the ACB labeled these claims as misleading and incorrect.

The bureau clarified that no confirmation of a paper leak has been made thus far. The matter is currently under investigation, and no final conclusions have been drawn by the competent authorities. The ACB emphasized that any claims presenting the investigation’s findings as conclusive are deemed hasty and erroneous.

According to the ACB, certain social media accounts, particularly one named ‘Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board Aspirant,’ have falsely claimed that the bureau has confirmed a paper leak and that the government has only taken action against 106 candidates, leaving others unaddressed. The ACB categorically dismissed these assertions as entirely misleading.

The bureau further explained that identifying certain candidates is part of the investigative process. Any cancellation of candidacy or other administrative actions are based on the evidence available at first glance and must adhere to legal procedures. This should not be interpreted as limiting the scope of the investigation or excluding other potential wrongdoers.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau has urged the public and examination candidates not to trust unverified and incomplete information circulating on social media. Only updates and verified information from official sources should be considered credible.

The ACB stated that once the investigation is complete, all facts will be made public, and strict legal action will be taken against those found guilty. The bureau also reiterated that maintaining transparency in the recruitment process and ensuring selection based on merit is a priority for the government.

This clarification comes at a time when there has been significant discussion and dissatisfaction on social media regarding the Fire Services recruitment examination in Jammu and Kashmir. Several candidates had raised complaints about a paper leak, prompting the ACB to initiate an investigation proactively. The bureau has requested everyone to cooperate with the investigation process and avoid spreading rumors.
