
New Delhi, May 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a profound message on humility and forgiveness on the social media platform ‘X’ on Friday. He emphasized that these qualities, along with good conduct, are the true jewels of one’s personality. He noted that with these virtues, the citizens are continuously working towards the resolution of a developed India.
In his post, PM Modi shared a Sanskrit shloka: “तेजः क्षमा धृतिः शौचमद्रोहो नातिमानिता. भवन्ति सम्पदं दैवीमभिजातस्य भारत..” This translates to the idea that qualities such as brilliance, forgiveness, unwavering patience, purity of conduct, sincerity towards the nation, and a humble personality are characteristics of a divinely endowed individual.
It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister also shared a quote on Thursday, honoring the great revolutionary and nationalist thinker, Veer Savarkar, on his birth anniversary. He stated that Savarkar’s bravery and intellect continue to inspire every generation in the country.
Additionally, PM Modi shared another shloka: “अनन्तोद्भूतभूतौघसङ्कुले भूतलेऽखिले. शस्त्रे शास्त्रे त्रिचतुराश्चतुरा यदि मादृशाः..” The meaning conveys that while many are known for either knowledge or power, truly remarkable individuals possess both wisdom and valor.
On Wednesday, he had also shared a quote emphasizing that with continuous effort, patience, and determination, even the loftiest goals can be achieved. He encouraged citizens to carry this spirit forward, elevating India to new heights.
He concluded with another insightful shloka: “यो यमर्थं प्रार्थयते तदर्थं चेह ते क्रमात्. अवश्यं स तमाप्नोति न चेदर्थान् निवर्तते..” This means that a person who earnestly prays for a goal and persistently works towards it will surely achieve that goal, provided they do not give up along the way.
