Chandigarh, June 3: Ahead of the anticipated India Block meeting on June 8 in New Delhi, Pappu Yadav, the Member of Parliament from Purnia, emphasized the need to start preparations for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections now.
In a recent conversation, Yadav expressed his desire for heartfelt invitations to be extended to all members, urging them to unite sincerely. He highlighted the urgency of this unity for the future of the country’s children and to combat rising inflation. Strengthening the India alliance is crucial, especially as democracy faces threats in the nation. He called for a powerful meeting to address these pressing issues and to begin preparations for 2029.
Yadav stressed the importance of meaningful discussions that focus on the problems faced by the public. He urged that conversations should revolve around reducing inflation, preventing exam paper leaks that affect students, and lowering diesel and petrol prices. These are the issues that require our voices and more effective movements.
Referring to the attack on TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee and the NEET exam paper leak, Yadav remarked on the deteriorating situation in India, where attacks on MPs occur and paper leaks happen daily without any resolution. He criticized those who claim to save the country but fail to prevent such leaks.
He also mentioned a tragic incident where a student preparing for NEET in Bihar took her own life, questioning when the government would be held accountable.
Yadav pointed out that paper leaks are not a new issue, yet the government has not taken strict action. Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices continue to rise.
In a sarcastic tone, he remarked that the BJP government spends all its money on elections and later recoups it from the public.
Regarding the issues surrounding former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi’s residence, Yadav stated that he is unsure of the actions others will take. He questioned the objection to a former CM’s residence, accusing the BJP government of seeking political revenge while failing to curb crime in Bihar.
