Opposition Questions FIR in Ram Temple Donation Case, Claims Efforts to Protect Big Fish

New Delhi, June 26: The opposition parties have raised concerns regarding the FIR filed against eight individuals in the Ram Temple donation case. They have made serious allegations against the SIT, the government, and the trust, claiming that efforts are being made to shield influential figures involved in the matter.

Congress MP Imran Masood stated, “If the intention was to catch the ‘small fish,’ they should have been apprehended earlier. Why was the SIT formed? If the SIT was established, why hasn’t its report been acted upon? If the FIR is based on its report, the SIT should have filed it. There are numerous questions surrounding this.”

He added, “The entire country knows that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is a strict administrator, and there was hope that he would show firmness in this case as well. However, it is unclear why he is not taking a strong stance.”

Independent MP Pappu Yadav commented on the Ram Temple donation issue, saying, “Those who brought Ram are now consuming him. There has been embezzlement of donations for a long time. This clearly indicates organized crime. The FIR has come too late, and it seems to be an attempt to protect all the big players involved.”

Congress MP J.B. Mathur expressed his astonishment, stating, “It is shocking that even the Ram Temple is being looted, yet the ‘double-engine’ government is trying to protect those responsible. The pace of action is very slow, and it appears that someone is trying to shield certain individuals. This not only hurts the sentiments of one religion but also those of all who respect every faith.”

In the Rajasthan Assembly, opposition leader Tika Ram Juli remarked on the FIR regarding the Ram Temple donations, saying, “Champa Rai is the chief trustee of this trust. If all operations are under his supervision, the responsibility lies with him.”

He accused the authorities of attempting to protect certain individuals, stating that the real culprits are not being pursued. He highlighted that previously, land worth millions was sold within the trust for crores, yet there has been no accountability for that.

Tika Ram Juli asserted, “Those who do not spare Lord Ram and are playing with the faith of the people should face strict action. This is a case of embezzlement amounting to nearly 200 crores.”

Samajwadi Party leader Tej Narayan Pandey stated, “The FIR should have been registered on the very first day. It should have been filed when the people of Ayodhya began raising this issue.”

He noted, “The issue was first raised by the National President of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, who alleged that there were irregularities and embezzlement within the Ram Temple Trust, betraying the faith of 140 crore people. The trust formed after the Supreme Court’s decision is breaking people’s trust.” He criticized the actions taken against these eight individuals as minimal, asserting that only minor players are being caught.

Pandey emphasized that the masterminds behind this embezzlement and those who allegedly oversaw it for years should be held accountable. He claimed that the SIT, government, and trust are all colluding. “Real action will only be acknowledged when FIRs are filed against the big fish,” he concluded, questioning why those accused remain within the trust and do not resign.
