Punjab CM Accused of Misleading Public Amid Serious Allegations

Chandigarh, June 26: The President of the Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kewal Singh Dhillon, responded to the Chief Minister‘s remarks on Thursday. He accused Bhagwant Mann of attempting to mislead the public instead of addressing serious allegations against his government. Dhillon claimed that Mann presented distracting statements and dramatic excuses during a press conference.

He noted that the Chief Minister deliberately avoided answering critical questions related to Punjab. Issues such as a ₹10 lakh bribe, a fake forensic report, an FIR registered in Gurugram, and the role of the Punjab police were left unaddressed. Allegations suggest that the police tried to suppress the truth based on a fabricated report to protect those involved.

Dhillon urged Mann to remove the mask of lies, emphasizing that the people of Punjab are watching closely. He also questioned the silence of Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener, Arvind Kejriwal, stating that his lack of response raises serious doubts about the party leadership’s role.

According to Dhillon, when those in power become part of a conspiracy, they lose the moral courage to confront the truth. He asserted that the ongoing silence of Kejriwal and Mann strengthens suspicions that this conspiracy runs deeper than it appears.

The BJP leader stated that the people of Punjab demand transparency and accountability. No government should be allowed to manipulate institutions, fabricate evidence, or misuse the police to suppress the truth.

He concluded by saying that Punjab is seeking answers, not political theatrics. Chief Minister Mann has lost his moral authority and should resign immediately.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Mann revealed a fake video in front of the media, claiming that there was a conspiracy to tarnish his image on religious grounds. He alleged that the video was created using a mask resembling him and identified Jagman Samra, based in Canada, as the person involved in its production.
