Nationwide Cycling Campaign Inspires Youth from New Delhi to Bikaner

New Delhi, June 7: A large number of participants joined the 77th edition of the ‘Fit India Sundays on Cycle’ campaign, aimed at promoting fitness, health, and environmental awareness across the country. Events were held from New Delhi to Mumbai, Bhopal, Jammu, and Bikaner, where representatives, artists, athletes, officials, and citizens rode bicycles to advocate for a healthy lifestyle.

In the national capital, actor Vikrant Massey made a special appearance. He reminisced about his childhood days spent cycling with friends. Speaking to reporters, he said, “I had a positive conversation with Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and the core message of this campaign is that people should pay special attention to their health.”

Vikrant emphasized the importance of citizens staying fit to make India a self-reliant and developed nation. He noted that the ‘Sundays on Cycle’ program, running for the past year and a half, has been raising health awareness among the public.

In Mumbai, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) organized a grand cycling event near the Worli Coastal Road. Actor Jackie Shroff attended as the chief guest. Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Fit India Ambassador Dinesh Shetty also actively participated.

Amruta Fadnavis remarked that cycling is highly beneficial for health and urged people to incorporate it into their daily routines. She appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs, stating, “Say no to drugs and yes to life. Yoga, meditation, and a healthy lifestyle can enhance life quality.”

In Bhopal, large-scale cycling events were held to celebrate World Bicycle Day. State Minister Vishwas Sarang participated, stating that the ‘Sundays on Bicycle’ campaign is being widely promoted to spread the message of fitness and healthy living. Bhopal Collector Priyanka Mishra added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mission Life’ aims to inspire people towards environmental protection and a healthy lifestyle. Actress Aishwarya Raj encouraged youth to stay fit and adopt a positive mindset.

In Jammu, a cycling rally was organized under the ‘Fit India Movement’ by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Fitness enthusiast and JKAS officer Anisa Nabi mentioned that people of all ages, including children, women, youth, and senior citizens, participated in this initiative. Chief coordinator Swant Singh Gill stated that cycling is not only a simple way to stay fit but also reconnects people with a healthier lifestyle.

A massive cycling rally was also held in Bikaner, where Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal was the chief guest. Youth, students, officials, police personnel, and citizens participated, promoting the messages of fitness and environmental conservation. These nationwide events clearly demonstrated that a healthy body, a clean environment, and an active lifestyle are the strong foundation for a developed India.
