VHP Leader Demands Apology from Farooq Abdullah Over Pakistan Comments
VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal calls for an apology from Farooq Abdullah for his remarks supporting Pakistan, labeling them as anti-national.

New Delhi, October 24 (Daily Kiran) : Vinod Bansal, the national spokesperson for the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), has sharply criticized Dr. Farooq Abdullah, president of the National Conference, for his recent comments perceived to favor Pakistan. Bansal described Abdullah’s remarks as detrimental to national interests and has demanded a public apology from him.
In a post on the social media platform X, Bansal stated that Abdullah should retract his “Pakistan-friendly” statements. He condemned Abdullah’s comments as “extremely unfortunate and utterly condemnable,” asserting that praising Pakistan while eating food produced in India is unacceptable.
Bansal emphasized that such statements are a clear act of betrayal against India. He pointed out the ongoing attacks from Pakistan, its support for terrorism, and efforts to disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir. He questioned Abdullah’s mindset, asking if he has forgotten the significant reduction in terrorist infiltration and the subsequent development in Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A.
He further claimed that the central government’s strict policies towards Pakistan have fostered an environment of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. Praising Pakistan and portraying it as a protector of Kashmiris is, according to Bansal, highly objectionable and a peak of treason.
Bansal insisted that Abdullah must apologize to the nation for his remarks. If he fails to do so, Bansal suggested that legal action should be taken against him under laws pertaining to treason.
He reiterated that there can be no compromise on the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of India. Bansal also called on the state’s Chief Minister to clarify his stance, questioning whether he stands with Abdullah in his affection for Pakistan or with the nation. He raised concerns that Abdullah’s statements could mislead Kashmiri youth and contribute to an anti-national conspiracy aimed at changing the political regime.
