Delhi Education Minister Orders Thorough Investigation Following Students Tragic Death
Delhis Education Minister Ashish Sood has called for a thorough investigation into the tragic death of a 17-year-old student in Krishna Nagar.
Krishna Nagar, East Delhi, October 24 (Daily Kiran) : In a tragic incident in Krishna Nagar, East Delhi, a 17-year-old student has died, prompting Education Minister Ashish Sood to visit the school and assess the situation. He was accompanied by local MLA Anil Goyal during the visit.
Minister Sood sought detailed information from school management and police officials regarding the circumstances surrounding the event. He also engaged with local residents to understand various aspects related to the incident. During his visit, the minister inquired about the progress of the investigation and the evidence collected so far.
Expressing his deep sorrow over the incident, Sood described the student’s death at GSKV School as extremely distressing and a matter of serious concern. He stated, “We are all shaken by this heartbreaking event. The Delhi Police is investigating the matter thoroughly, and the school management has provided all available evidence to the police.”
Sood emphasized that ensuring a fair and comprehensive investigation is the top priority, aiming to uncover all facts related to the incident. He noted that the exact circumstances and other aspects would only be clarified upon the completion of the investigation. Appropriate action will be taken based on the findings.
According to police reports, the student, who was in the 12th grade at the Sarvodaya Bal/Balika Vidyalaya, allegedly set herself on fire using a flammable substance. The incident caused panic among teachers and students present on the school premises, leading to an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
The Delhi Police crime team has been summoned to the school to examine the scene, investigate the circumstances, and gather evidence to determine how the tragic event occurred.
