West Bengal Chief Minister Urges Child to Limit Mobile Use During Heartfelt Encounter

West Bengals Chief Minister advised a child to focus on studies over mobile use while visiting a grieving family in Howrah.

Howrah, October 24 (Daily Kiran) : West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari offered a piece of advice to a young boy during a recent visit to Howrah. On Saturday evening, the Chief Minister encouraged the child to use his mobile phone less and concentrate more on his studies. The interaction took place around 8 PM on Kamini School Lane in Salakhiya, North Howrah.

The visit was part of a condolence call to the family of Bikash Bhattacharya, who tragically lost his life in the Chorabagan incident. Adhikari expressed his sympathies to the grieving family and assured them of financial assistance, along with a promise to help one family member secure a job. This gesture provided some comfort to the family, who expressed their gratitude for the support.

After meeting with the family, as the Chief Minister was heading back to his motorcycle, a local boy named Rajdeep Pal approached him, eager to take a selfie. Recognizing the child’s excitement, Adhikari obliged but also took the opportunity to advise him on the importance of prioritizing education over excessive mobile phone use.

This brief exchange captured the attention of those present, highlighting ongoing discussions about children’s increasing reliance on mobile devices. The Chief Minister’s advice underscored the significance of education and responsible technology use.

Adhikari traveled to the family’s home on a motorcycle, as the narrow streets made it difficult for larger vehicles to navigate. State Minister Umesh Roy accompanied him on the ride. The visit not only reassured the grieving family but also drew attention for its warm interaction with the child, earning praise from onlookers for the emphasis placed on encouraging youth to prioritize their education.
