Maharashtras Election Victory: A Blessing for BJP and Allies, Says Modi

New Delhi, February 9: In the recent district council and panchayat committee elections in Maharashtra, the BJP and its allies have achieved a significant victory. Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked that Maharashtra has once again blessed the alliance with its support.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Prime Minister Modi stated that after the impressive success of the BJP and its allies in the municipal elections, the people of Maharashtra have given a strong mandate in the district council elections. He emphasized that the citizens of both rural and urban Maharashtra desire good governance and a coalition that operates in the spirit of the state’s glorious culture. Modi expressed gratitude to the people of Maharashtra and extended his best wishes to every worker of the alliance for their tireless efforts and for promoting the NDA’s vision of good governance alongside the solid track record of the Maharashtra Government.

Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also highlighted the significant victory of the BJP and its allies in the district council and panchayat committee elections. He noted that rural Maharashtra has shown trust in the BJP and its allies, congratulating the public and party workers for this achievement.

Fadnavis stated that the rural populace has demonstrated firm confidence in their work during the municipal, metropolitan, and district council elections. He criticized the opposition, claiming they lack the will to fight and are only visible in the media, not among the people.

He further mentioned that the district council elections took place today, with the alliance winning power in all 12 district councils. The BJP emerged as the largest party once again, securing the most seats. In the panchayat committee, the BJP also retained its status as the largest party. The party increased its seat count from 284 in 2017 to 410 this time, with the alliance expected to have chairpersons in approximately 105 out of 125 total panchayat committees. This indicates a clear mandate from the rural populace of Maharashtra, and Fadnavis expressed his gratitude to the citizens.
