Mumbai, July 2: The Maharashtra government is set to organize workshops at both state and district levels to ensure the effective implementation of the developed Bharat-Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural), known as the VB-G Ramji Scheme. This announcement was made by Minister in Charge Shambhuraj Desai during the assembly session.
Desai explained that a special workshop for legislators will be held at the state level. This workshop aims to simplify the implementation of the scheme’s provisions and effectively incorporate significant elements from previous initiatives. Attendees will receive detailed information regarding the new scheme’s key features and the integration of provisions from older programs.
To disseminate information about the scheme effectively, similar workshops will also be organized for members of Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis, and Zilla Parishads in each district. The goal of these workshops is to provide local representatives with comprehensive knowledge about the scheme and ensure its effective grassroots implementation. This matter was initially raised in the assembly by MLA Narayan Kucha, with supplementary questions posed by MLAs Rajkumar Badole and Atul Bhosale.
In another development, the issue of MLA Sajid Pathan allegedly receiving threatening phone calls resonated in the Maharashtra Assembly on Thursday. The opposition accused the government of negligence, leading to a significant uproar. Congress Legislative Party leader Vijay Wadettiwar raised the matter through a suspension motion, demanding immediate action from the government. In response, Minister Nitesh Rane stated that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had already clarified the government’s stance on the issue.
Minister Shambhuraj Desai assured that the government would take the complaint seriously and requested the concerned MLA to provide detailed information about the matter. Dissatisfied with the government’s response, the opposition accused it of avoiding discussions on this issue and other critical topics related to farmers. In protest, opposition members chanted slogans and walked out of the assembly.
