Madhya Pradeshs New Initiatives to Empower Womens Rights: CM Mohan Yadav

Bhopal, April 14: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh announced significant initiatives aimed at enhancing women’s political participation and democratic rights in the state.

A special session of Parliament has been convened for the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. CM Yadav believes that this act, passed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be brought to life through the “Nari Shakti Vandan Pakhwada,” celebrated statewide from April 10 to April 25.

On April 15, a major state-level event will take place at Ravindra Bhawan. A special exhibition titled “Journey of Women Leadership” will showcase the glorious history and future possibilities of women’s empowerment. CM Yadav will participate in discussions aimed at ensuring women’s direct involvement in governance and strengthening their role in policy-making processes.

During the event, CM Yadav will address the women of the state and reaffirm the government’s commitment to amplifying women’s voices in Madhya Pradesh’s democratic institutions. Leading women leaders actively engaged in women’s empowerment will also attend. Notable attendees include Minister of Women and Child Development Nirmala Bhuriya, Minister of Public Health Engineering Sampatiya Uike, and other distinguished figures like educationist Shobha Pethankar.

Women who have excelled in various fields, including Padma Shri awardees, doctors, lawyers, artists, and engineers, have been invited to the ceremony. Additionally, members of self-help groups, grassroots workers, and women media representatives will be integral to this program. Awareness campaigns are being conducted not just in Bhopal but across the entire state during this fortnight.

Special village meetings are being held in all gram panchayats to celebrate Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti, focusing on the significance of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act through dialogues with rural women. Programs like “Nari Shakti Padayatra” and “Youth Dialogue” in educational institutions are connecting the younger generation to this social change. The government believes that enhancing women’s decision-making capabilities will foster social awareness and deepen public trust.
