
Mumbai, April 15: Gorakhpur has made its mark in the Guinness Book of World Records for its remarkable achievements in artificial intelligence (AI) awareness. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the ‘AI for All’ awareness program set a world record by registering 764,187 participants within a week.
The initiative was launched by the Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology (MPIT) in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and other institutions. On Wednesday, Guinness World Records representative Rishi Nath presented the certificate of this record to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons.
The certificate was awarded during the inauguration ceremony of the first Center of Excellence in Eastern Uttar Pradesh at MPIT. The program initially aimed for 500,000 registrations, but exceeded expectations with 764,187 registrations by the deadline of April 9.
Participating institutions included Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Madan Mohan Malaviya Technology University, Mahayogi Gorakhnath University, Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath State Ayush University, MP Polytechnic, ITM GIDA, and BIT GIDA. The representative from Guinness confirmed that the online registration process was rigorously evaluated before the certificate was issued.
This completely free AI awareness program offers comprehensive training on various topics, including an introduction to AI, generative AI tools, prompting and productivity, responsible AI use, cyber hygiene, fraud prevention, password and OTP safety, and safe digital practices.
