Mumbai, April 15: In the film industry, many artists rise through their family connections but carve their own paths through hard work and talent. Siddharth Mahadevan is one such name, who has made a significant mark in the music world with his powerful voice.

Although he is the son of renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan, Siddharth has always strived to create his own identity. His career took a pivotal turn with the song “Zinda” from the film “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,” which brought him recognition in every household. This song remains popular among audiences today.

Born on April 16, 1993, Siddharth grew up surrounded by talented artists who sang and discussed music at home. His father, Shankar Mahadevan, is a celebrated singer and composer, providing Siddharth with early exposure to music. He learned both Carnatic and Hindustani classical music from a young age, gradually honing his vocal skills.

At the start of his career, Siddharth worked on small projects. He spent time in the studio with his father, learning a great deal. He explored various music genres, including ghazal, pop, rock, and more. His father always advised him not to imitate others but to establish his unique identity, a lesson that is evident in Siddharth’s work.

In addition to singing, Siddharth has composed music as well. He has created music for Marathi films and established himself as a composer.
