New Delhi, May 28: On the birth anniversary of the great revolutionary, freedom fighter, and nationalist thinker Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, several prominent leaders paid their respects. They recalled Savarkar’s indomitable courage, patriotism, and sacrifices while enduring the harsh tortures of the British in the Cellular Jail. Leaders emphasized that his contributions serve as an inspiration for future generations.
In a post on the social media platform X, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini wrote, “On the birth anniversary of the immortal son of Mother India, ‘Swatantryaveer’ Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, I pay my humble respects. Despite enduring severe tortures in the Cellular Jail, Savarkar’s resolve for a free India never wavered. His indomitable courage, patriotism, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to the motherland are a source of inspiration for every Indian.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated, “On the birth anniversary of the immortal son of Mother India, the great freedom fighter ‘Swatantryaveer’ Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, I pay my respects. His life, dedicated to the freedom of the nation while enduring inhumane tortures, sends a timeless message of dedication, courage, and unwavering resolve for the nation’s welfare.”
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya expressed, “On the birth anniversary of the immortal son of Mother India, the fervent nationalist thinker and great revolutionary ‘Swatantryaveer’ Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, I offer my heartfelt respects. Savarkar fought tirelessly for freedom, cultural pride, and national consciousness. His revolutionary ideology, powerful writings, and indomitable courage provided intellectual energy to the freedom movement.”
He further added, “His struggle for freedom, dignity, and national duty from India to England will inspire future generations. His sacrifices and revolutionary thoughts have instilled patriotism and self-belief in the youth.
