
Beijing, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : Chinese President Xi Jinping, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, extended his congratulations to Kim Jong-un, the General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, in a message celebrating the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s (DPRK) 78th National Day.
In his message, Xi acknowledged the significant progress made by the DPRK over the past 78 years under the leadership of the Workers’ Party. He commended the unity and collective efforts of the North Korean people in promoting strong development across all sectors of socialism. Xi particularly praised Kim’s leadership in advancing economic and social development, noting the remarkable achievements attained in recent years, which China views positively.
Xi expressed confidence that the North Korean people would fulfill the goals set forth during the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party and continue to achieve new milestones in building their party and nation.
In his congratulatory note, Xi emphasized the friendly and socialist ties between China and the DPRK, highlighting their mutual support and shared aspirations for the future. He reiterated that maintaining, strengthening, and developing China-DPRK relations has always been a steadfast policy of the Chinese Communist Party and government.
Furthermore, Xi reflected on his state visit to the DPRK in June, where he met with Kim Jong-un, noting that this encounter opened a new chapter in the relationship between the two parties and nations.
Xi Jinping expressed his desire to work closely with Kim Jong-un to enhance the strategic guidance of relations between their parties and countries. He also underscored the commitment to promote development and strengthen the welfare and friendship of both peoples, contributing to regional and global peace, stability, development, and prosperity.
