
New Delhi, May 28: In anticipation of Eid-ul-Azha, authorities across the country have implemented extensive security measures. Police forces in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and New Delhi have conducted flag marches, route marches, and peace committee meetings to ensure the festival is celebrated in a peaceful and harmonious environment.
In Nashik, Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik stated that the police are fully alert and prepared for Eid-ul-Azha. He mentioned that precautionary measures are being taken, including roadblocks and route marches in sensitive areas of the city. The police administration is closely monitoring the situation to maintain law and order during the festival.
In Prayagraj, DCP City Manish Kumar Shandilya informed that prayers will be held at approximately 400 mosques and Eidgahs in the area. He noted that peace committee meetings have already been organized at both the local and central levels.
He urged the public not to perform prayers on the streets and to refrain from sacrificing banned animals. Additionally, he advised against conducting sacrifices in public spaces and sharing related photos or videos on social media. The police are continuously conducting flag marches to maintain a secure environment.
In New Delhi, police have also carried out flag marches in various areas ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. Additional DCP West Kumar Singhal reported that adequate police forces have been deployed at all mosques. He mentioned that peace committee meetings have been held to maintain harmony, with ongoing support from local residents.
Meanwhile, in Ayodhya, SSP Gaurav Grover stated that in light of the upcoming festival, flag marches and route marches have been conducted in all police station areas by the district magistrate and police administration. He emphasized that such marches are regularly conducted to strengthen the public’s sense of security.
In Lucknow, Joint Police Commissioner (Law and Order) Babloo Kumar announced that comprehensive security arrangements have been made throughout the district. He indicated that peace committee meetings have been organized in all zones, and communication has been established with all relevant parties.
He also shared that around 1,500 police personnel, six companies of PAC, and one company of RAF have been deployed. The administration’s goal is to ensure that Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated with complete peace, brotherhood, and harmony.
