New Delhi, July 18: On the occasion of the birthday of Nelson Mandela, the former President of South Africa and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, several Chief Ministers and leaders from various states paid their respects.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed on X, “On the birthday of the great advocate for human rights and world peace, Nelson Mandela, I pay my heartfelt tribute. His dedication to humanity, equality, and justice serves as an inspiration for the entire world. His ideals will continue to guide us towards peace, social harmony, and human welfare.”
Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Baidwan shared on X, “On this day, I respectfully honor Nelson Mandela, a lifelong fighter against apartheid and a symbol of world peace and equality. His courage and restraint in the face of injustice, following the path of non-violence and truth, is commendable.”
Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary posted on X, “I pay my respects to Nelson Mandela, the former President of South Africa, a great human rights warrior, and a symbol of world peace on his birthday. His struggle and dedication to equality, justice, freedom, and human dignity will always inspire humanity.”
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta wrote on X, “On the birthday of Nelson Mandela, a pioneer in the global struggle against injustice, inequality, and apartheid, I pay my deepest respects. Meanwhile, the UP Congress noted on X, “Today, July 18, marks Nelson Mandela International Day. This day reminds us that the fight for justice, peace, and human rights is never in vain. Mandela spent 27 years in prison but never lost hope or courage. Let us resolve today to promote love over hate and justice over injustice in society.”
