
Kilokari Village, New Delhi, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : A 54-year-old Manipuri music teacher, Chongtham Vikram Singh, has died following an alleged assault in Kilokari Village, located in southeast Delhi. The police have registered a murder case and apprehended all suspects, including minors.
On September 7, police received a call reporting an altercation involving Vikram Singh at his residence. Officers promptly arrived at the scene to investigate the incident.
Initial inquiries revealed that Singh, a retired musician and music educator, had confronted a delivery person and employees from a roadside eatery over noise disturbances outside his home.
Witnesses reported that when Singh approached the individuals to express his concerns, he was allegedly attacked. He sustained severe injuries from punches and other blows during the altercation.
Following the incident, Singh’s son, Yaifaba, rushed him to Holy Family Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, Singh succumbed to his injuries while receiving care.
Authorities have stated that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the assault and subsequent death. Several suspects were initially detained and later all were apprehended, including minors.
Given the seriousness of the situation, police filed a murder charge after Singh’s passing. Investigators are examining all relevant facts and the roles of those involved in the incident.
Local residents have expressed outrage in response to the tragic event. Further legal actions will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
