
Xiamen, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : The 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) is set to take place from September 8 to 11 in Xiamen, located in southeastern China’s Fujian province. This year, representatives from 129 countries and regions, along with 30 international organizations, have registered over 1,200 government agencies and business groups to participate.
During a press conference held on Sunday, Yu Kuangshang, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, announced that the fair’s permanent theme is “Expanding Bilateral Investment, Promoting Global Development.” The event will feature three main sections: “Investing in China,” “China’s Investment,” and “International Investment.” Attendees can look forward to an exhibition area spanning 200,000 square meters, 14 special exhibition zones, 46 themed activities, and 52 project roadshows.
Yu emphasized that this year will see a strengthened bilateral investment collaboration. The Chinese investment exhibition area has been expanded to approximately 20,000 square meters, hosting activities such as supply chain connections, country-specific meetings, and promotions of foreign industrial parks.
Moreover, the financial exhibition area has been doubled in size. Enhanced areas will also showcase new quality productive forces, expertise, innovation, and advancements in science and technology.
For the first time, Finland and Saudi Arabia have been designated as “dual guest countries,” while Guangdong and Qinghai provinces have been named “dual guest provinces.” Finland will participate with a national pavilion at this year’s fair.
Qinghai, as one of the guest provinces, has prepared a special themed pavilion covering 720 square meters, highlighting the province’s major industries, achievements in green development, and key investment projects.
