A Unique Rakhi Gift for Ladli Behna Beneficiaries

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav during a public program in Belkheda village, Jabalpur district—located about 40 kilometers from the district headquarters. Addressing the gathering, CM Yadav stated: “Women under Ladli Behna Yojana already receive ₹1,250 per month. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, they will now get an additional ₹250 as a festival gift next month.”

Consistent Progress of Ladli Behna Yojana

During the event, the Chief Minister also facilitated the direct transfer of ₹1,551.44 crore as the June installment into the bank accounts of 1.27 crore women beneficiaries across the state. This marks the 25th installment under the scheme since its inception—underscoring the government’s commitment to empowering women through consistent financial support.

The Ladli Behna Yojana is designed to provide financial stability to women, helping them meet essential expenses such as household needs, children’s education, and healthcare, thereby fostering economic independence.

Additional Announcements for the Region

Apart from the Rakhi bonus, the Chief Minister also announced several other development initiatives for Belkheda and nearby areas:

  • A new government college will be established in Belkheda, ensuring access to higher education for local students.

  • Office complexes and residential quarters for Revenue Department staff will be constructed, improving administrative efficiency and employee welfare.

  • Multiple infrastructure and rural development projects were also inaugurated and foundation stones laid—further signaling the state government’s focus on holistic development.

Driving Women’s Empowerment and Rural Growth

Speaking on the occasion, CM Yadav reiterated that his government is determined to promote women’s empowerment and rural development across Madhya Pradesh. The special Rakhi bonus under Ladli Behna Yojana reflects the administration’s sensitivity towards the well-being of women, particularly in rural and economically challenged communities.

The financial assistance not only enhances purchasing power but also injects vitality into the local economy. Regular income support ensures that women can independently manage their financial priorities—helping elevate their family’s quality of life.

With these steps, the Madhya Pradesh government continues to set a positive example in inclusive governance, making women the central pillar of economic and social progress.
