
Mumbai, April 14: Popular rapper and musician King is set to make his OTT debut with the music action drama web series ‘Lukhke’, which is based on rap culture, crime, and revenge. The release date was announced by the creators on Tuesday.
Prime Video shared a video on its official Instagram account, detailing the characters played by the main cast. The post stated, “Rap and revenge will speak loudly… the series ‘Lukhke’ will premiere on Prime Video on May 8.”
‘Lukhke’ is a fictional musical action drama set against the backdrop of Chandigarh, where the worlds of rap music, ambition, and crime are intricately intertwined.
The series will showcase a revenge story between two rival rappers. King portrays MC Badnaam, while Shivankit Parihar plays OG. The two characters are embroiled in a personal feud, blurring the lines between art and animosity. Expect intense action, gunfire, and vibrant musical energy.
Directed by Himank Gaur, ‘Lukhke’ is produced by Optimistics Entertainment and White Gorilla LLP, under the guidance of Vipul D. Shah and Rajesh Bahl. The story and script are crafted by Agrim Joshi and Debojit Das Purkayastha.
The eight-episode series features Rashi Khanna and King, who is making his acting debut. Palak Tiwari, also making her streaming debut, and Lakshveer Singh Saran play significant roles. Other notable cast members include Nakul Roshan Sahdev, Kritika Bhardwaj, Shivankit Parihar, Yograj Singh, and Ayesha Raza Mishra.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, expressed his excitement about the series.
