Alwar, September 10 (Daily Kiran) : Bhajan singer Kanhaiya Mittal is making headlines once again with his recent remarks during a visit to Alwar, Rajasthan. He touched on various topics, including public faith in Khatu Shyam Baba, his controversial statements, social equality, the impact of UGC regulations, and the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on Indian culture.
Mittal remarked that it is common for controversies to arise when one speaks the truth, as it can often be bitter for some. He emphasized the importance of AI in today’s world but expressed concern over humans relying too heavily on it for emotional matters. He described his aspiration to bring Khatu Shyam Baba to the global stage, and he also hinted at a desire to enter politics if the opportunity arises.
While discussing the devotion of people in Alwar towards Khatu Shyam Baba, Mittal noted, “Whenever I come to Alwar, I see a unique enthusiasm among the people for Baba. The moment his name is mentioned, people start chanting loudly. The cheers resonate in Alwar but can be heard as far as Jaipur. There is a palpable passion and emotion surrounding Baba.”
Addressing his frequent controversies, Mittal stated, “It is natural for disputes to arise when one speaks the truth. If someone speaks honestly, it may not sit well with everyone. People should focus on their actions and engage in discussions that benefit society and the nation. In today’s age of Kali Yuga, lies spread quickly while the truth often gets suppressed.”
On the topic of UGC regulations and social equality, he urged the government to avoid division within society. “We are all flowers in the same garden. Historical injustices against marginalized communities should not lead to new forms of discrimination against other groups. The government needs to intervene and amend UGC-related regulations.”
Mittal also expressed concern for upper-caste children, stating, “If a child from an upper caste faces accusations in school, it can affect their future. A person’s birth into a particular caste is not their fault, and there should be no injustice against any community.”
He raised alarms about AI’s impact on Indian culture, noting, “Both Generation Z and AI are hot topics today. I saw an advertisement where a girl consults AI on how to welcome her dog home, while her mother asks AI for dinner ideas. AI is essential, but relying on it for emotional matters is troubling.”
He continued, “If someone has lived with their parents for 40 years and needs AI to decide what gift to give their father on his birthday, that’s concerning. If children start consulting AI for everything instead of their parents, what role will parents play? Technology should have its place, but it cannot replace human relationships and emotions.”
Mittal reiterated his dream of bringing Khatu Shyam Baba to the world stage, expressing a desire for everyone, regardless of their background, to have the opportunity to seek Baba’s blessings. “That is my biggest dream. Beyond this, I have no grand ambitions,” he stated.
Regarding a potential political career, he referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for youth to step forward and contribute to the nation. Mittal said, “If someone feels compelled to make a difference, they should consider entering politics.”
