Jaipur, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : In Jaipur, on October 2, Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra put an end to speculation regarding senior leader Vishvendra Singh‘s potential departure from the party. He labeled the rumors as part of a “toolkit” strategy employed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Dotasra stated that he has not received any official communication about Singh’s intentions and will refrain from commenting on social media reports. He referred to Singh as his elder brother and mentioned that, despite a lack of communication for over two and a half years due to organizational reasons, he would seek Singh’s written sentiments before the party makes any decisions.
He expressed admiration for Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, highlighting Gandhi’s commitment to non-violence and truth as foundational principles for India’s independence. Dotasra emphasized that the Constitution is aligned with Gandhi’s ideals, which the nation continues to follow.
Further, he praised Shastri’s “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” slogan, noting that both leaders set enduring standards in their respective roles. Dotasra asserted that true progress in the country must begin at the village level, stressing that hunger must be eradicated to achieve equality and development.
Dotasra also criticized the current central government, claiming it has strayed from the path envisioned by Gandhi and is undermining the Constitution. He pointed out that the government has delayed local elections for over a year and a half, affecting democratic processes.
Regarding the rumors about Singh’s departure, Dotasra reiterated that he has no official information and that any feelings Singh wishes to express will be formally solicited. Only after receiving a written response will the party decide on the next steps.
He concluded by addressing personal attacks against his family, asserting that such allegations are unfounded and part of the BJP’s ongoing smear campaign. Dotasra clarified that he has never directly labeled anyone as part of the BJP’s toolkit but acknowledged the patterns in the accusations circulating on social media.
