BJP Launches Seva Sankalp Yatra and Vijay Sankalp Yatra in Karnataka, Criticizes Congress Government

Kolar, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : The Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held its ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra’ and ‘Vijay Sankalp Yatra’ in Bagalpete, Kolar district, on Friday. The events attracted a large number of BJP leaders and activists as part of the party’s outreach and organizational initiatives.

The primary goal of these rallies was to bolster the party’s grassroots organization while highlighting issues concerning farmers, impoverished families, and rural communities.

Addressing a meeting of BJP workers during the yatra, state president B.Y. Vijayendra criticized the Congress government for failing to adequately address the problems faced by farmers and the rural population, despite three years in power. He questioned the disparity between the promises made by Congress before the assembly elections and their implementation afterward.

Vijayendra pointed out that farmers are struggling due to drought and crop damage, and he accused the state government of not providing sufficient compensation. He stated, “The BJP has been consistently demanding that farmers receive at least ₹50,000 per hectare as compensation for crop losses, and all pending compensation amounts should be released immediately.”

He emphasized that the BJP’s foot marches across various regions, including Kalyana Karnataka, are not merely political events but also an opportunity to hear directly from farmers, the underprivileged, nomadic communities, and rural residents about their challenges.

Vijayendra urged the administration to pay attention to the issues faced by rural families, asserting that mere announcements will not resolve these problems. He also claimed that the prioritization of guaranteed schemes has hampered development projects, leading to insufficient progress on schools, colleges, roads, and irrigation initiatives in rural areas.

He criticized delays in providing housing for poor families and in disbursing pensions and other social security benefits. He called on the government to be more concerned about the development of the state and the hardships faced by farmers and the poor.

Vijayendra noted that the central government is focusing on corruption-free governance and implementing various schemes for farmers, women, youth, and the underprivileged. He urged BJP workers to strengthen the party’s organizational network in anticipation of the upcoming district and taluka panchayat elections.
