Dialogue Over Legal Action: Mahant Sitaram Das on Ram Bhadracharya Controversy

Mahant Sitaram Das advocates for dialogue instead of legal action in the Ram Bhadracharya controversy regarding comments on Brahmins.

Ayodhya, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : Mahant Sitaram Das, the head priest of the Saket Bhavan temple in Ayodhya, has spoken out regarding the legal case against Jagadguru Ram Bhadracharya. This case stems from derogatory remarks made about Brahmins. Das emphasized the importance of resolving such disputes through dialogue and mediation rather than escalating them through legal channels, which could create divisions within society.

The case filed in the district court of Prayag pertains to statements made by Ram Bhadracharya that allegedly hurt the sentiments of Brahmin communities. Mahant Das suggested that if his comments have indeed offended the Brahmin community, it would be appropriate for Ram Bhadracharya to express remorse.

He highlighted that the Brahmin community has always wished for the welfare of all and stressed the necessity of maintaining harmony within society. While acknowledging Ram Bhadracharya’s significant contributions to Sanatan culture and national unity, Das noted that errors in statements can happen. In such cases, he believes it is better to seek resolutions through conversation rather than legal proceedings.

Mahant Das also urged those who filed the complaint to reconsider, stating that pursuing legal action against Ram Bhadracharya would not yield any positive outcomes for society. He called for all parties to engage in discussions to reach a consensus if disagreements arise. He warned that escalating religious and social disputes could lead to societal divisions, which should be avoided at all costs. The Mahant reiterated the importance of resolving issues amicably through mediation.
