
Mumbai, April 14: In the film industry, some artists find their path not through planning but by sheer luck. Anu Aggarwal, a prominent actress from the 90s, shared her unexpected journey into films, revealing that it was not a well-thought-out decision but rather a twist of fate.
On Wednesday, she posted a photo collage on Instagram featuring herself with co-actor Rahul Roy. Alongside these images, she recounted her career beginnings and experiences related to the film ‘Aashiqui.’ Anu emphasized that entering the film industry was never her intention; the opportunity came to her unexpectedly.
In her post, Anu stated, “I did not enter films as it might seem. Looking back, I never planned to be in movies. At that time, I was preparing to return to Paris after finishing my work in India. I was modeling and wanted to pursue that further. But suddenly, I received an offer for ‘Aashiqui.’ It was a turning point that changed the direction of my entire life.”
She explained, “I agreed to a short schedule for this film. At that moment, I thought I would shoot for a few months and then return to my previous work. My plan was only for three months, but fate had other ideas.”
Once ‘Aashiqui’ was released, Anu Aggarwal became an overnight sensation. The film turned out to be one of the biggest hits of its time, with its songs resonating deeply with audiences. The music was composed by Nadeem-Shravan.
Through her post, Anu conveyed, “This one film changed my life overnight, and the media labeled me as an actress who didn’t chase films; rather, films came to her.”
