Hindu Community Celebrates Court Ruling at Bhojshala Complex

Indore, May 22: The Bhojshala complex in Madhya Pradesh witnessed a significant shift as the High Court recognized it as a Hindu temple, granting the Hindu community special rights for worship. For the first time on Friday, prayers were not held at the site, marking a historic moment for Hindu devotees who expressed gratitude towards the government and administration.

Devotee Jitu Raghuvanshi shared his excitement, stating, “We extend our best wishes to all the youth of India. Following the High Court’s decision, we are joyfully worshipping Mother Vagdev. Despite tensions, a large number of devotees are coming to offer their prayers. There is a festive atmosphere among the Sanatanis.”

Female devotee Prabhati expressed her happiness, calling the day historic. She noted that the Hindu community and Sanatanis welcomed the High Court’s ruling. She recalled the 2003 Bhojshala ‘Tala Todo’ movement, during which many Hindus were arrested.

Another devotee emphasized the struggle the Hindu community faced for this day, declaring it a victory for truth. A female devotee welcomed the court’s decision, asserting, “No prayers today and never again. This is a victory for the Hindu side, and Sanatanis will continue to come for worship. After many years, we have regained our right to worship.”

A male devotee called for the construction of a grand temple for Mother Vagdev, inviting Hindus from around the world to worship there. He remarked, “Today marks a significant victory for the Hindu community. For the first time, Sanatanis are able to worship Mother Saraswati on a Friday.”

The Bhojshala dispute has long been one of the most sensitive religious and historical issues in central India. The Hindu side claims the site was established in 1034 AD by King Bhoj as a temple dedicated to Mother Saraswati and a center for Sanskrit education. In contrast, the Muslim side asserts that the Kamal Maula Mosque has existed at this location for centuries, and previous administrative arrangements have already established its legal status.
