FIR Filed Against AAP MLA Jarnail Singh Amid Political Tensions in Delhi

New Delhi, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : Political tensions escalated in New Delhi’s Tilak Nagar as an FIR was filed against AAP MLA Jarnail Singh. This action follows complaints from Public Works Department (PWD) engineers regarding obstruction of government work. The incident has ignited a fierce exchange between AAP leaders and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal leading the charge against the opposition.

The FIR accuses Singh of interfering with official duties and intimidation. According to reports, the police acted on complaints from a PWD assistant engineer, which prompted the legal proceedings. Additional complaints related to the incident are under investigation.

This development coincides with ongoing disputes between AAP and BJP over a road inspection in the area. Tensions heightened when Deputy Chief Minister Pravesh Verma allegedly slapped a person named Sahib Singh during the inspection. Following the incident, Singh demanded Verma’s resignation and an FIR against him, claiming he was live-streaming the event on Jarnail Singh’s Instagram page.

Sahib Singh alleged that the confrontation arose while he was highlighting poor road conditions. He accused Verma of first knocking his phone down before striking him. Verma, in response, claimed that Singh used offensive language towards his family, prompting his reaction. Singh has denied these allegations.

As the political drama unfolds, AAP has called for action against Verma, while the FIR against Jarnail Singh adds another layer to the ongoing conflict.
