Milwaukee, October 1 (Daily Kiran) : Poland is actively encouraging Indian companies to invest in its clean energy, information technology (IT), and industrial sectors. The country is positioning itself as a vital hub for Indian businesses aiming to access the larger European Union (EU) market.
Andrzej Domanski, Poland’s Minister of Finance and Economy, made this appeal during a special interview on the sidelines of the G20 trade ministers’ meeting. He extended a direct invitation to Indian firms interested in expanding their operations in Europe.
When asked which sectors Poland is particularly keen on attracting investment from Indian companies, Domanski highlighted clean energy, the IT sector, and various industrial areas where India excels. He emphasized that Poland’s offer is not limited to a few specific sectors.
As a member of the EU, Poland provides Indian companies the opportunity to establish a presence in Europe’s vast market. Domanski believes that Poland can serve as an excellent hub for Indian investments in Europe.
He pointed out that by investing in Poland, Indian firms gain access to the EU market. This statement reflects Poland’s desire to enhance bilateral investments with India. Warsaw is actively seeking new economic partners beyond its traditional markets.
Domanski noted that Poland’s economy is growing at a faster pace compared to other European countries. This year, the GDP growth is projected to be between 3.5% and 3.6%. He stated that Poland is poised to be one of the fastest-growing economies in Europe, potentially leading this trend this year and into the next.
Despite robust economic growth, Poland continues to seek out new business partners. “We are constantly looking for new and significant trade partners. India is a major country in Asia, and we wish to strengthen our trade relations with India,” he said.
The minister expressed Poland’s ambition to establish long-term, stable economic ties with India, viewing the country as a global leader. He remarked that Poland and India share a similar ambition, wishing to forge strong and enduring trade relationships.
As a member of the EU and its single market, Poland aims to play a crucial role for Indian companies looking to expand their business in Europe. Both India and the EU are working to strengthen their economic ties, making Poland an essential market and business destination for Indian enterprises.
