Bhopal, June 3: Jitu Patwari, the President of the Congress party’s Madhya Pradesh unit, has declared that the people of the state are ready for a change in government. He believes that in the upcoming 2028 assembly elections, a government led by farmers’ sons will emerge. Patwari made these remarks during his visit to Mandsaur and Neemuch on Tuesday, where he held meetings with party workers and officials.
Speaking to reporters, Patwari stated that Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has limited time left in office. He emphasized that the people of Madhya Pradesh will choose their own government. “In 2028, a government of farmers’ sons will be formed, a people’s government, and Congress will secure a full majority,” he asserted.
Patwari expressed deep concern over rising economic inequality, a declining economy, and the deterioration of democratic institutions. He stated that no Congress worker will bow down to the oppression of the BJP government, and in 2028, a pro-farmer and people-centric Congress government will take charge in Madhya Pradesh.
Discussing the party’s organizational structure, he mentioned that special training programs for block and district presidents are being conducted across Madhya Pradesh. The sole aim is to expand the Congress organization to every household and individual. “We are training our machinery to work ideologically like soldiers, keeping the nation and state at the forefront,” he added.
Patwari also recalled the promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014, questioning the current economic crisis. He pointed out that the promises of good days, two crore jobs annually, a $5 trillion economy, and making India a global leader have proven to be completely hollow.
