
Lucknow, June 18: A shocking incident has emerged from Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, where an elderly man was brutally murdered over a land dispute. His wife and son sustained serious injuries in the attack.
The incident took place in the village of Saidpur Dalshah, where a conflict over property escalated into violence. The elderly man was attacked with sticks and iron rods, leading to severe injuries. He was rushed to AIIMS Raebareli for treatment, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased has been identified as Ramphali Pal.
According to police reports, the altercation began around midnight on Wednesday between two neighbors regarding the extension of a house’s balcony. The dispute quickly turned violent, resulting in critical injuries to Ramphali Pal. He was immediately hospitalized, where doctors later declared him dead.
Police have stated that an FIR has been filed against the named accused based on the complaint from the victim’s family. Two suspects involved in the incident have been taken into custody, and further legal action is underway based on the evidence collected.
In a related incident, another elderly man was murdered in Gumla district, Jharkhand, on Tuesday. He was beaten to death with a stick in the village of Chatty. The police acted swiftly, apprehending the suspect and initiating an investigation. The victim has been identified as Dhana Uraon. Family members reported that he was attacked by Chhotu Uraon while heading to the fields for his daily routine, resulting in fatal head injuries.
