Youth Empowerment Through Startups and Manufacturing: Jagdish Vishwakarmas Vision

Gandhinagar, August 31: Gujarat BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma stated that India’s rapidly growing startup ecosystem and manufacturing sector are creating new opportunities for the youth. He made these remarks while listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 137th ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program with young people in Gandhinagar.

Vishwakarma participated in a youth-centric event held at a café in Kudasan, where he engaged in discussions with the attendees after the broadcast. The BJP organized similar programs across the state, allowing party leaders and various community members to listen to the monthly radio show.

He emphasized, “Today, youth are establishing innovation-based startups across various sectors. They are transitioning from job seekers to job creators, making significant contributions to the nation’s development.”

Vishwakarma attributed the emergence of a new startup ecosystem in the country to the Modi government’s youth-friendly policies and various initiatives. He noted the immense talent and skills among India’s youth, which form a strong foundation for building a developed nation. He also highlighted the changes in the defense and mobile manufacturing sectors.

He remarked, “A country that once relied on imports for defense equipment is now exporting defense products worth millions.” Discussing the mobile manufacturing sector, he pointed out that while it was once limited in India, it has now expanded significantly. “Today, everything from small pins to aircraft is being manufactured in India,” he added.

Reflecting on Gujarat’s development, Vishwakarma mentioned the remarkable reconstruction efforts following the 2001 earthquake, particularly in Kutch, which has transformed the state into a model under Prime Minister Modi‘s visionary leadership.

Under the BJP’s extensive programs in Gujarat, special events were organized for various communities. National BJP General Secretary Dr. Satish Poonia listened to ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the Rajasthani community at the Sardar Smarak Bhavan in Ahmedabad, while Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel observed the program with party workers at booth number 172 in the Thaltej area.

Union Minister C.R. Patil participated in an event with chartered accountants and company secretaries in Surat, while BJP National Vice President Varsha Doshi engaged with young farmers in Duhai village, Surendranagar district.

Programs were also held in Nadiad, Bidada in Kutch, and Chandkheda in Ahmedabad, focusing on women, farmers, livestock breeders, and members of the Scheduled Castes. The BJP reported that similar events took place at all booths across Gujarat, involving party leaders, public representatives, workers, and citizens.

Young participants in Gandhinagar described ‘Mann Ki Baat’ as an inspiring and informative program, pledging to listen to it every month. The 137th episode of Prime Minister Modi‘s program discussed grassroots initiatives, entrepreneurship, social issues, and various topics related to youth.
