Tributes Pour in for Former President Pranab Mukherjee on His Death Anniversary

New Delhi, August 31: On the death anniversary of former President and Bharat Ratna recipient Pranab Mukherjee, central ministers and several state chief ministers paid their respects.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari expressed his homage on X, stating, “A humble tribute to former President Bharat Ratna Pranab Mukherjee on his memorial day.”

Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal wrote on X, “On the death anniversary of the popular politician and former President Bharat Ratna Pranab Mukherjee, I offer my humble tribute! His integrity, transparency, and clarity in public life serve as a guiding light for future generations.”

Central Minister and Uttar Pradesh BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary posted on X, “A humble tribute to former President Bharat Ratna Pranab Mukherjee on his death anniversary. His dedicated life for the nation, visionary leadership, and invaluable contributions to public life will always be remembered.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma wrote on X, “I pay my heartfelt respects on the death anniversary of former President and Bharat Ratna recipient Pranab Mukherjee! Pranab Mukherjee took office as the 13th President of India on July 25, 2012, serving until July 25, 2017. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha five times starting in 1969 and to the Lok Sabha twice from 2004. He was a member of the Congress Working Committee for 23 years. Pranab Mukherjee passed away on August 31, 2020.
