Efforts to Bring Yoga to Every Home: Dilip Ghosh

Kolkata, June 19: West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh has responded to various issues, including Yoga Day and political meetings involving Abhishek Banerjee.

In a conversation with reporters, Ghosh highlighted the growing popularity of yoga, noting that it is now practiced in over 200 countries. This year, Prime Minister Modi will visit West Bengal to celebrate Yoga Day, participating in a yoga session with 30,000 attendees. Preparations for yoga practice have already begun across Bengal in anticipation of the event.

Ghosh stated that they have been actively practicing yoga, and the administration has organized yoga sessions and marathons. “Our aim is to ensure yoga reaches every home and every individual,” he said. He also mentioned that a significant yoga demonstration will take place on the Ganges, where participants will practice yoga on boats.

Regarding the upcoming meeting between Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Abhishek Banerjee, Ghosh remarked that if the Speaker has called for the meeting, Banerjee should attend.

On the topic of meetings led by Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee, Ghosh questioned their purpose, stating, “What will come out of such meetings? The party’s office has been taken away. TMC MPs and MLAs have left; the party is essentially gone. Meetings like this have no meaning.”

When asked about speculations regarding TMC merging with Congress, Ghosh indicated that it is not impossible. “Many parties have split from Congress and later merged back. The final outcome may be similar here,” he suggested.

Commenting on the arrest of Udayan Guha, Ghosh stated that the world knows the reasons behind it. Guha’s name has surfaced in the fertilizer scam, and he has been accused of leading violence and corruption in Bengal. “During TMC’s rule, BJP workers were targeted. Now, after the assembly elections, the public has responded to TMC’s terror. Those spreading chaos are being brought to justice,” he added.

Minister Ghosh announced that June 20 will be celebrated as West Bengal Day. He noted that Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee brought this Bengal from Pakistan. This year marks the official celebration of West Bengal Day, which will also feature an address by the Prime Minister.
